Child Act Day endorsed by Hasting's Children's Aid

Despite being 10 days after the fact, the Hastings Children`s Aid Society has shown support for Child Act Day, in order to raise awareness about physical punishment toward kids.
The board unanimously agreed Thursday night to endoresed a statement claiming all forms of corporal punishment are harmful and inappropriate for children. Organizations mark Child Act Day on Nov. 20.
Len Kennedy, executive director of the society, supports the idea.
"Our statement on physisal punishment clearly says that children have the same rights as adults and any physical assault on children is unnaceptable," Kennedy said.
