Public views new waterfront proposal
Plans for a newly developed waterfront were presented to Belleville residents Feb. 17.
Wrinkles were ironed out of residents minds as they expressed their concerns. Most commended the use of ideas discussed in earlier meetings.
Plans integrate Victoria Park, Meyers Pier Park, East and West Zwhicks Park and Moira Park. They include waterfront villages, splash parks, and a eco-systems remediation project.
It is expected the project will take over ten years and will be partly funded by the provincial government.
City council have not approved plans yet but residents imput is being considered as the planning process continues.
